The Area being Modelled is :-
A Test Scores Database
Hi All,
Am new here and have been fascinated by databases for ages.
Tinkered a bit in Access and converted a nice working database for my driving school
before I found this site. Now I realise it could've been so much easier!
I always like to start off with what I aim to achieve and then work back to a
structure that can help me accomplish that. Big Picture, then nitty gritty ;o)
Aims for this database:
- to find patterns of tests respectively relevant to applicants, examiners and test stations
- to find patterns of test score items relevant to applicants, examiner and test stations
- to apply patterns found in the above to build an add-on Pass Probability Survey Questionnaire with weighted score
Basic Input:
Test - Test Reference No, Date, Time, Test Station, Weather Condition,
Test Station - physical address, blah, blah
Examiner - Name, Licence No, Veh Code Qualified for, Place of Issue, Expiry Date, Infra No
Applicant - Name, ID No, Veh Code Applied for, Physical Disabilities
Vehicle - Model Name, Auto/Manual, Registration Number
Test Section - *Duration, **penalty allowed, ***penalty score
Test Sub Section - Test Item, remarks, penalty score
Test Sub Sub Section - Test Item, remarks, penalty score (in cases of Right/Left Hand)
*Test Time duration -
**Test Penalty Allowance - there is a sliding scale based on duration (i.e. 168 allowed
in 20 minutes for road test, BUT fixed max penalty allowed of 50 for parking test)
***Test Total Penalty Scored -
Test Result - Pass/Fail
Wow, that's it - quite a mouthful
Any takers? Barry?
