This diagram shows Inheritance, with Sub-Types of Books, DVDs and Magazines, etc. inheriting attributes from the 'Catalogue' Super-Type.

The diagram of an Access Database shows how this might look in a physical Database, where all the Sub-Types attributes are combined into one consolidated Table.
