When we think about Inspection Services, we think about Customers, the Products and Services that we offer, our Global Offices and the Consulting Assignments that we carry out for our Customers, our Staff and the Community Projects that we support.
So we end up with this draft list of 'Things of Interest' that provides our starting-point for designing the Data Model ...
Then we think about how these various things are related, and how they might look on a 3NF Normalised Data Model.
Here is a summary of part of our thought process :-
We have not included Products because it is not clear to us at this stage what they are.
We could include them with 'Services' but that would make our Model look untidy so we have left them out ;-0)
2. Staff on Assignments
We like the idea of keeping track of the Assignment of our Staff because Staff are a very important part of Custom Union's operation.
